Risk Assessment Approach for the Environmental Release of GMOs containing Engineered Gene Drives

Activities with GM gene drive organisms require a licence to be issued by the Regulator (Schedule 3, Part 3.1 (r) & (s) of the Regulations). A range of data, including mathematical modelling and efficacy information, may be included in a licence application to support environmental risk assessment.
