Reporting of Notifiable Low Risk Dealings (NLRDs) to the Gene Technology Regulator

If your organisation has had any notifiable low risk dealings assessed by an Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) during a financial year, then the organisation must submit a completed Record of Proposed Notifiable Low Risk Dealings(s) (NLRDs) to the Gene Technology Regulator.

Reporting of NLRDs for 2011-2012

For the upcoming financial year (1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012), the following form is provided for your convenience to record the NLRDs assessed by your IBC(s) during the year.

Changes have been made to the NLRD reporting form for 2011-2012. The form now includes a field requesting details of GMOs; and a field for the reporting of PC3 NLRDs. This new category of NLRDs is provided for in paragraph 2.2 of Part 2 of Schedule 3 in the Gene Technology Regulations 2001 (as amended on 3 June 2011). Instructions about the content of fields are included as notes in the spreadsheet, when a field is selected, and in the accompanying instructions posted below.

Note: The OGTR encourages the use of the above spreadsheet but has also provided below an RTF/PDF version of the 2011-2012 form for printing purposes only.

Reporting of NLRDs for 2010-2011

Any NLRDs that were assessed by IBCs during the 2010 – 2011 reporting year that are not already recorded in a spreadsheet approved by the Gene Technology Regulator may be recorded and submitted using the 2010 – 2011 form below.
